About Me

My Journey From Product Hopping To Personal Understanding

Your skin and hair are your own beautifully complex narrative. For the longest time, I felt trapped reading someone else’s story, the one dictated by marketing claims and rigid routines. I was simply trying to keep up.

The Battle I Couldn't Win

My history is marked by dry, tight, and sore skin. My face always felt dry, and I spent years searching for a fix. I bought many popular cleansers, costly serums, and moisturizers that promised results but let me down. My bathroom was filled with products that didn’t work, and I started to think I was the problem, that my skin was just too hard to care for.

Everything changed when I found a very basic, gentle homemade face wash recipe online. It was nothing like what I had tried before: no big promises, no hard-to-understand ingredients, just simple logic. I had nothing to lose, so I gave it a try.

That pivotal decision to trust intuition over marketing became my greatest lesson. My skin didn’t just feel softer; it felt understood. I realized the issue wasn’t dryness, but my failure to slow down and listen to the quiet language my body spoke. In that moment, I discovered the power of simple hydration and ingredients I could truly trust.

From Experimenter To Formulator

That moment made me more curious. I began to learn about simple homemade remedies and the science behind making cosmetics. I took online classes on how the skin barrier works, what humectants and emollients do, and how cosmetics are made. Learning this helped me focus on ingredients and what works, not just brand names. These lessons are at the heart of Moisture Minded: The Body Talk Collective.
